Penobscot School recognizes that language learning extends beyond the bounds of the language itself. The school therefore offers an extensive array of cultural events throughout the year intended to broaden perspectives by bringing global-minded people together. Check our events page often for updates to our changing list of stimulating activities including ethnic meals, lectures, films, speakers, and demonstrations. Join us for an authentic Portuguese meal as João Bentes of Portugal makes Goese Chicken Curry accompanied by salad, bread, wine and dessert. Interested in traveling to Portugal in late September? A culinary adventure not to be missed, Around the World Cooking for Kids provides 7-13 year olds the opportunity to enjoy cooking ethnic dishes.
