Recent renovations to the library and exterior have really spruced the place up! New paint, a new closet, a pendant light fixture and removal of several bookshelves have made this room feel so much brighter and more spacious. Out back, we have two raised garden beds with several vegetable and herb plantings. This will make a great addition to our English Immersion program as students will assist with garden care while increasing their vocabulary and understanding of our farm-to-table community. Check out the new rain water collection system as well! Thanks so much to all who were involved in these projects through planning, labor or donated materials including (but hardly limited to!): Carmen Bombeke, Chair of the Buildings and Grounds Committee, What You Need Builders, Maine Circuit, 2aArchitects, Rebecca Jacobs, Farley & Son, Inc, Lowe’s, Benjamin Moore, the Penobscot School board and Leslie Fillnow, Board President.
