A Spanish Evening in Maine – A Traditional Paella Dinner and Talk

September 26, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$35

Join PLS’ newest Board Member Jared McCannell for an evening meal and discussion inspired by the cuisine of Spain! We will be serving a variety of traditional Tapas (tasty finger food), salad and  Spain’s most celebrated dish “Paella” (saffron rice, vegetables, meat and/or seafood) as a main course. The meal will be followed by a traditional Mediterranean dessert and informative conversation about the culinary impact Spain has had on the world over the past 500 years!

Jared recently joined to Board of Directors of Penobscot Language. Jared has lived, studied, traveled and eaten his way across Spain over the course of several years. He holds a degree in Spanish language from San Diego State University and looks forward to many more opportunities to share these two passions (language and food) with the community of PLS!
