Les Trois Glorieuses Fundraiser

Our three-part fundraiser based on an annual French wine harvest festival was a smashing success.  The event began with a lovely dinner featuring Chef Mercier of Youngtown Inn.  Attendees enjoyed carmelized onion and goat cheese tart, a choice of Black Angus Beef Ribs on a bed of polenta, Local cod with crabmeat topping and beurre blanc and Vegetarian ratatouille, and chocolate torte with vanilla ice cream.  Paired wines from Chartrand Imports and Coffee from Rock City Cafe rounded out the meal.

An auction of fine wines and art followed.  Wine donors included The Wine Seller of Rockland, The Market Basket and RAYR: the wine shop of Rockport, Lily Lupine and Fern of Camden, and Breakwater Vineyards of Owls Head.  Art included the works of Paula Apro, Bo Barlett, Colin Burns, Katharine Cartwright, Alan Clark, Betsy Eby, Maureen Egan, Eric Hopkins, Jack McKenney, Stephen Huyler, Bjorn Runquist, Nanfei Wang, Sandy Weisman, Lucinda Ziesing, and Dudley Zopp.

On Saturday, Laura Cabot served a super French brunch with crepes (filled with ratatouille, nutella, berries, etc.), croissants, salad, apple crisp, coffee and sparkling cider.
