Thursdays 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM ET (90 minutes weekly)

Intended for intermediate learners and advanced Spanish students, this 10-week course introduces some of the most important periods throughout the history of Philosophy (Ancient, Medieval, Modern, and Contemporary). Students read and discuss the most relevant thinkers of each period, their historical contexts, and the contributions that have significantly shaped the way we understand the cosmos and our place in it. This class is an opportunity to think critically about practical and abstract concepts while simultaneously sharpening Spanish language comprehension and communication skills. Students should be familiar with reading, comprehending, and commenting on texts written in Spanish, to be able to maintain discussions during class periods. Classes meet online via Zoom once a week for 90 minutes. Classes start the week of June 10, 2024.
