Italian Literature (Intermediate/Advanced) with Jackie Sorc

This 6-week Intermediate/Advanced Literature session is for upper-intermediate Italian language learners. In this course students will read excerpts of novels, short stories, and essays by contemporary Italian authors exploring historical, cultural, and sociological themes. There will be a focus on central aspects of the Italian cultural debate via these readings and discussions. At the end of the session students will have a better understanding of written Italian and an enriched vocabulary and knowledge of complex grammatical structures. Students will be able to converse and express opinions with more fluency, and enjoy reading texts of varying difficulty. The class will be conducted in Italian. Classes are offered online via Zoom.
*** Students are required to have the following book for this course. There are options to buy it or rent it on Amazon and other similar websites. The cost of the book purchase/rental is not included in the class tuition and each student is responsible for acquiring their own copy.
