This 10-week literature class is designed for Intermediate (and above) Italian language learners. In this course students will read excerpts of novels, short stories, and essays by contemporary Italian authors exploring historical, cultural, and sociological themes. There will be a focus on central aspects of the Italian cultural debate via these readings and discussions. Upon completion of the session students will have a better understanding of written Italian and an enriched vocabulary and knowledge of complex grammatical structures. Students will be able to converse and express opinions with more fluency, and enjoy reading texts of varying difficulty. The class will be conducted in Italian. Classes are offered online via Zoom. Classes start the week of April 10, 2023.
