Thursdays 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Elena Ferrante and Viola di Grado are two Italian women writers who shine light on the issues presented by the boundaries across cultural and traditional norms in “L’amore Molesto” and “70 Acrilico, 30 Lana”. In this “Italian Women Writers” section, we will focus on reading “L’amore Molesto” and “70 acrilico, 30 lana” to cross-analyze the presented themes of motherhood, corporality, and mental health struggles in contemporary Italian society. With this guided reading course, students will be able to converse and express opinions with more fluency, and enjoy reading texts of varying difficulty. The class will be conducted in Italian. Classes meet online via Zoom once a week for 60 minutes. Classes start the week of March 25, 2024.
