The Tastes of Egypt

Attendees at our Egyptian meal enjoyed several dishes prepared by our English Immersion guests from Egypt.  The evening’s menu included various salads and baba ghanoush served with pita bread.  Two dishes were served for the main course: koshary, a vegetarian meal prepared with layers of pasta, lentils, chick peas and topped with a choice of sauces and mousaka made with fried eggplant, potato, vegetables and beef.  Dessert was roz de laban, a creamy rice pudding.  The group heard from Reem AlQhatani who spoke of her culture and the various ways Egyptians prepare their food.  Wonderful food and an internationally-minded group made for a delightful evening!
